SpidersWebHelp service changes.
As AOL have closed their storage service and Hometown Easy Designer web page making on the 31st of October 2008, the opportunity was taken by the administration of SpidersWebHelp.com to update the operation of the service. The update changes have been happening since the 10th of October 2008 and the revised service will become available during the week of the 27th of October 2008.
Generally the help service is unchanged and not charged for, if and as available. All web page based help will be closed in due course, as most related to AOL Easy Designer. Future new help pages or old revised ED help, for general web page building, may be released in a year or so.
A donation type payment service may be introduced, for those who wish to make use of it. A charge for help service is being discussed, but unlikely to happen at this time.
Main changes relate to service hours, incoming mail and reply mail.
The help service will now operate normal UK working hours from 09:00 to 17:00 GMT. Working week will be Monday to Friday, excluding normal UK bank holidays.
Incoming mail will be looked at by someone within 48 hours of receipt and passed on for help. This includes passing requests to outside help services, where spiderswebhelp is unable to resolve a request and if such outside help can provide a reply. There is no guarantee that a help request will be answered immediately or at all. Those who spam the service with, 'I want a reply mail' or pointless content mail, will be ignored or blocked from contacting the service.
SpidersWebHelp.com is for web page building help information, related to the use of web page codes, javascripts and anything used generally for making a web page. The service only responds to help requests and does not handle private mail. All mail will be looked at by someone, but no action is taken or reply given to private mail sent to anyone connected to the help service. Mixing help requests and private mail, within one e-mail is not advised, the help part maybe overlooked, if it forms part of the general e-mail text.
Reply help mail, if sent, either actual help or information to say the service is unable to help in regard to the request made, will usually be sent at some point in time after the original mail request was read. If a reply is not received, then assume none will be. Help may be provided by persons working outside normal office hours or even outside the UK and therefore reply mail may be sent at unusual hours, based on UK GMT time.
The above information is only a guide to current service, there is no guarantee the service will be able to answer any question or that the answer will in any way help the person who sent the request for help. All help given, is provided "AS IS". No warranty of any kind is expressed or implied. Help is used at 'Own Risk'. The SpidersWebHelp service and author of any help suggestion made, will not be liable for data loss, damages, loss of profits or any other kind of loss, while using or misusing help suggestions. Before implementation of any suggestions made by the service or any person, the user of the help should obtain third party advice.
